Dear co-workers and visitors,
Welcome! And, thank you for taking the opportunity to look at the NTEU Chapter 207 website.
This website is part of our continuing effort to keep employees and others updated on the ongoing efforts of Chapter 207 in improving the work life of bargaining unit members collectively and individually. We continue to hope that this website helps those that access it; even if in a small way. We hope that you will use this site as a source for what we are learning what we are working on and what issues are facing employees. We continue to add links and update the data that we hope you can use when you are seeking information.
We also strongly encourage you to write your comments, statements and opinions on issues and concerns you have about the FDIC workplace. We will be adding a feature for placing those comments. However, you need to keep in mind that if you use language that may offend our readers we will reserve the right to not post your comment. Also, please don’t name names – we don’t have a budget for slander or libel.
We continue try to keep this site modified and updated to address emerging issues and topics and we will continue to make consider design adjustments. When you see that there aren’t documents in some “reserved spots” please be assured that some links have been created and are just awaiting the text files being added. We will hopefully get those done soon.
Chapter 207 has an external mailbox at nteu207@nteu207.org, which is an email box that is not supported on FDIC equipment. This enables employees to write to the chapter at a secure website location. This mailbox address is displayed on the first page and throughout other portions of this web site. Many writers have requested the ability to write to us directly off-site and this new feature has been welcomed and utilized by many employees. As an added security requirement emails sent to the outside mailbox will not be read from FDIC computers. However, if you send your message from the FDIC system – you have determined that you will assume the risk that the FDIC will read your outgoing message.
As always, if you have any comments or suggestions about this web site please write to me. We will consider all requests and respond back to you. I welcome all comments – good, bad but most of all helpful criticisms.
The 10 chapters representing FDIC employees across the country are accessible through a web portal. This portal is located at www.nteu.net. All of these efforts have been undertaken to keep all employees informed of not only what affects them in their geographical areas but also what other chapters are also working on or commenting on.
Since we launched this website you will notice in the portal site that other FDIC chapters are refining their external websites.
We hope to hear from you soon.
Best regards,
Betty Coll
